Flying
Not a lot to say about flying as
the choice is limited, and nae all that cheap either. Unless
you work for BP or a sub-contractor at Sullom Voe Terminal,
then you may qualify for a subsidised flight to Scatsta (30
miles north of Lerwick)
There are about 3 flights a day
from Dyce to Sumburgh, about 25 miles south of Lerwick, with British
Airways and flights take about an hour. You
can also fly direct from Edinburgh twice a day, takes about
an hour and a half. Loganair also
operate flights under franchise from British Airways. Sumburgh
Airport has a web site, Here
That's about it really... |
